The Junior Program is designed especially for junior transplant recipients aged from 4-17. This is a unique opportunity for children and teens to shine in a variety of events and activities, meet other kids just like them and hopefully take home a medal for “show and tell”.
Siblings, friends and family can also join in the fun and participate in the Champion (Supporter) Competitor category in a selected range of sports.
Our junior program includes sports for athletes to compete in and extra activities just for fun.
Junior Events
During the Australian Transplant Games, we have some extra activities specifically designed for juniors and their parents. Check out some examples of the types of events below.

Included for all registered Junior participants – Please note children must remain supervised by a parent or guardian 18 years or above at all times.
An opportunity for parents of paediatric transplant recipients (and those waiting) to meet, connect and share experiences in a relaxed, social and supported environment.
Included for all registered adult participants – Adults only please.
Junior Divisions
Juniors compete in events designated by gender in the following age groups:
- 0 - 4 yrs
- 5 - 8 yrs
- 9 - 11 yrs
- 12 - 14 yrs
- 15 - 17 yrs
Juniors 15 or 17 years of age may be considered to compete in an adult age event where the event is not offered in their age category. Please email sports@transplant.org.au for consideration.
