Explore the options below to find the support that’s right for you and help make your journey to the Games possible.

Self-Fundraising

Whether you’re raising funds to cover your registration, travel, accommodation, uniforms or training costs, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Creating a personal fundraising page is a simple way to share your transplant journey and invite your family, friends, workplace and community to help you get to the Games. Every donation goes towards your Games-related expenses, making it easier for you to focus on training, competing and celebrating the gift of life.

Self-fundraising is available to registered Australian Transplant Games participants.

Whether you’re a first-time competitor, returning athlete, donor, living donor, supporter, or family member participating in the Games, fundraising can help reduce the financial barriers to attending and competing.

Funds raised can be used to help cover eligible Australian Transplant Games expenses, including:

  • Games registration fees
  • Travel costs
  • Accommodation
  • Official Games uniform
  • Games meals
  • Training sessions and preparation

All reimbursements must be supported by receipts and approved by Transplant Australia.

Other ways to fundraise and find financial support

There are lots of other ways to help fund your journey to the Australian Transplant Games. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Host your own fundraiser

Organise a fundraising event with your family, friends, workplace or local community.

Whether it’s a morning tea, trivia night, sausage sizzle, raffle or sporting challenge, every dollar makes a difference.

Before you get started, you’ll need to apply for a Transplant Australia Authority to Fundraise first. To find out more, email contactus@transplant.org.au.

Support your State Team

Many State Teams hold fundraising activities throughout the year to help participants, such as subsidising uniforms.

Speak with your Team Manager or State Committee to find out how you can get involved. You can find your Team Manager’s details here.

Ask your local community

You may be surprised how willing your local community is to support your journey.

Its also an opportunity to highlight the life-changing impact of organ donation. Consider approaching:

  • your employer or workplace
  • your school, university or TAFE
  • your local Rotary, Lions or service club
  • your local council, State or Federal Member of Parliament.

If you need a letter of support from Transplant Australia to accompany your request, we’d be happy to help. Simply email contactus@transplant.org.au.

Scholarships and financial assistance

If you’re a child, teenager or young adult transplant recipient, you may be eligible for scholarships or financial assistance to help you attend the Games.
