Sports Integrity:

Transplant Australia takes sport integrity seriously and we have adopted the National Integrity Framework. All our members and participants have an obligation to protect and maintain the integrity of sport, as well as the health and wellbeing of people who participate. Smoking:  

Transplant Australia promotes a smoke free culture at all Australian Transplant Games sporting and cultural events. The use of tobacco products including cigarettes, “spit tobacco” and e-cigarettes / vapes is prohibited within the facilities of all events, whether indoors or outdoors.  

Alcohol:

Alcohol is able to be consumed in moderation at special events, dinners and non-competition times during the Australian Transplant Games. Alcohol may not be consumed by competitors during competitions. Transplant Australia supports the responsible consumption of alcohol and takes seriously any inappropriate behaviour that results from excessive drinking.  Alcohol may not be consumed by any underage attendees at the Games.

Sun Safety

Appropriate use of sunscreen is an essential component of sun safety. Sunscreen should have a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or higher, be broad-spectrum and water resistant. Transplant Australia encourages all participants, supporters and officials at the Australian Transplant Games to wear sun-protective clothing including broad-rimmed hats and long sleeve shirts.

Environment:

The Australian Transplant Games tries to reduce waste at all events including the use of plastic. Recycling bins will be available at all venues. Plastic water bottles are discouraged. Participants are encouraged to bring their own refillable water bottle.

Anti-Harassment:

Transplant Australia is dedicated to providing a positive, harassment-free event experience for all participants and staff, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, age or religion. Transplant Australia does not tolerate harassment of event participants, volunteers or staff in any form. The use of rude or harassing language and imagery is not appropriate at any Transplant Australia event. Any event participant, including staff, volunteers, sponsors and exhibitor staff, found to be violating this policy may be expelled without a refund, at Transplant Australia’s sole discretion. Dress Code at the Australian Transplant Games:

All Australian Transplant Games registrants, supporters, volunteers and staff are to be dressed in an appropriate manner. In recognition of the many cultures present at the Event, attire of an overly revealing or suggestive nature is strictly prohibited.
