Competition schedule will be available the week of the Games.

 

 

Adult Transplant Competitor

Athletes aged 15+ eligible to be selected in their state football team.

 

Junior Transplant Competitor

Juniors 15-17 are eligible to be selected in their state football team.

 

Supporter Competitor

In previous Games it has sometimes been hard for states/territories to pull together enough players for team events, Supporter Competitors aged 15+ are eligible to compete with the following guidelines to be followed:

  • Recipient competitors to get priority
  • Teams must field majority of Recipient competitors
  • If states are able to fill two teams – only one can medal
  • States may combine. Points will be split equally regardless of number of players for each state.

Rules

Team managers will co-ordinate selection of football teams.

The 2026 Australian Transplant Games will be adopting the rules set out but the World Transplant Games Federation for the Transplant Football World Cup. CLICK HERE to read the rules.

Bibs will be provided for state teams who may not have specific kit available.

What to Bring

Shin Pads are compulsory. Trainers or plastic moulded football boots (including Astro boots and bladed boots) may be worn. Metal studs are NOT permitted. Jewellery should be removed or taped to the satisfaction of the referee.
