Accommodation

Launceston offers a wonderful selection of quality accommodation to suit all visitors.

Accommodation is not included in the Games registration fee, giving participants flexibility to make their own arrangements. 

Registrants are not required to stay with their state teams, though in some cases, team managers may provide guidance for those who wish to stay with fellow team members. 

State teams have nominated the following hotels, which are optional for team members. 

  • NSW: Sebel Launceston and Best Western Plus Launceston
  • WA: Hotel Grand Chancellor, Launceston

Travel Assistance

To make travel planning easier, we’ve partnered with Tasmanian Vacations and SportsLink to assist with travel to Launceston, Tasmania including flights, accommodation and local tours.

Tasmanian Vacations can also arrange Spirit of Tasmania travel (passenger, vehicle, and caravan fares). Advance booking is recommended, especially during school holiday periods.
