The Greens at the Canberra Bowling Club are available for a practice on October 1 between 3pm and 6pm. This will help familiarise competitors with the club and the greens. Canberra Bowling Club Members can demonstrate how to bowl if competitors haven’t bowled before.
For those who wish to use club bowls we strongly recommend they take this Tuesday afternoon opportunity to get suitably sized bowls allocated, thus saving time on the first morning of competition.
Competitors who wish to attend this practice session are required to provide there own transport.
Competition will be in singles and/ or doubles. The tournament will be a round robin format with top players/teams advancing to semi-finals and finals. Length of singles games will be based on a point system.

Rules: Tournament will be governed by the Laws of the Sport of Bowls Crystal Mark Third Edition except as modified herein.
Format: Competition will be in singles and EITHER mixed doubles or doubles. The tournament will be a round robin format with top players/teams advancing to semi-finals and finals. Length of singles games will be based on a point system.
Competitors are encouraged to bring their own bowls. Competitors must wear flat shoes, bowling shoes are not mandatory however shoes with heels are prohibited.
Bowls are available to borrow from the venue.
For Games Registrants who have purchased the Games Transport service, transfers from selected pick up points will be provided to the venue at the start and end of the competition.
Onsite parking available.
Sandwiches will be for sale on both days. Canberra Bowling Club are not a full catering service so they can not guarantee special dietary requirements (eg specific allergies, vegan/vegtarian). Self-service Tea and Coffee will be available throughout the day for a gold coin donation.
Participants are welcome to bring their own food and drink.
